Hear Me, See Me, Protect Me
Concept Abstract:
Lorna Simpson is a multimedia artist who employs conceptual photography to trace the experience of black women in America. She uses various photos, objects, and text that apply language as a set of word puzzles for the audience to solve. To advertise her exhibition I want to utilize a minimalistic, interactive, yet challenging design. The goal is to mimic the storytelling nature of her photography while letting the words function as both a tool and an integral element of the composition.
